NFC MIME Record Element

The NFC MIME record element is used to insert an NFC MIME record into an NFC tag.

The NFC MIME record element is located in the Element Toolbox within Studio’s Embedded tab.

Using NFC with iOS Devices

In order to use NFC communication within the iOS version of the Atmosphere mobile app, a series of steps must be performed. Note this process is for use with the mobile app on iOS only; Android devices allow NFC communication as long as NFC is enabled on the mobile device. Additionally, this is only applicable for hardware that supports NFC communication.

Prior to using NFC capabilities, ensure you have the following setup configuration:

  • The project built includes the necessary logic for NFC communication.
  • The end device is registered to Atmosphere.

With setup complete, follow the steps below to use NFC on iOS:

  1. Open the Atmosphere mobile app.
  2. Once in the app, physically shake your mobile device. You’ll then receive a prompt that your device is ready to scan.
  3. Touch your end device to your mobile device to initiate NFC pairing between them.

Once scanned, the device should execute whatever NFC logic was built for it.
