Texas Instruments OPT3002 Element
The OPT3002 element is used to measure light intensity. This is for using the Texas Instruments OPT3002 ambient light sensor, which is featured on the mangOH Yellow.
The OPT3002 is a sensor element that can be imported into the Element Toolbox through the Add Element button located in the toolbox from the Embedded tab. mangOH Yellow projects have this element imported by default.
The following properties can be changed for the OPT3002 element:
The name of the element.
I2C Driver Instance
The I2C bus used to communicate with the sensor.
The following triggers are available to execute events from within the OPT3002 element:
Execute an event when the source element connected to the OPT3002 triggers.
Ambient Light Read
Execute an event when the ambient light reading is available.
The following abilities are available for the OPT3002 element when its source element triggers:
Trigger the element(s) that follow the OPT3002 element.
Read Ambient Light
Read the sensor’s ambient light data in nW/cm2.
Atmosphere includes a selection of resources for users of all levels that demonstrate using the OPT3002 element.
To view the OPT3002 element used within a project, click the demo’s name to open the project in Atmosphere and see how the element is set up.
